Individual Volunteering
Skill-Based Volunteering
If you would like to contribute your professional expertise, KKCS offers skill-based volunteering opportunities through seasonal projects in the following areas:
– Graphic Design
– Content Creation
– Photography / Videography
– Training & Facilitation (e.g., workshops, mentoring)
– Legal Advice
– Translation / Interpretation Services (languages currently in need: Vietnamese, Burmese, Thai, and others)
– Handyman Services

Children
1. Play and Learn Support (PALS)
PALS volunteers support young children through mentoring and guided learning experiences in the child’s home. Volunteers will be deployed in pairs to engage the children aged 2 to 6 years old through play or reading activities planned activities by the staff.
Commitment: 10 sessions over 6 months
Schedule: Weekday evenings or Saturday mornings
Criteria: At least 21 years old
2. Literacy Volunteer — BRIGHT Programme
The BRIGHT Literacy Programme focuses on building strong foundational literacy skills in children aged 7 to 9 years old. Volunteers work closely with students through reading, language-based activities and personalised support to nurture confidence and a love for learning. Sessions are conducted at the centre.
Commitment: 20 weekly sessions for 6 months
Schedule: Weekday afternoons or evenings
Criteria: At least 16 years old; comfortable speaking English with clear pronunciation
3. Programme Facilitator — Hearts@78A (Whampoa Family Service Centre)
Programme Facilitators support the holistic psychosocial well-being of children in Whampoa through engaging, topic-based activities during the monthly get-together sessions. Volunteers will lead and mentor a small group of children during 90-minute sessions in the centre.
Commitment: At least 5 sessions per year
Schedule: Last Tuesday evening of each month (except June and December)
Criteria: At least 16 years old
Job Mentor
Some of our service users require support with employment planning and development. If you can help individuals navigate job searches, plan career transitions, refine résumés, and build interview skills, we would love to hear from you.
Commitment: 2–6 hours per session
Schedule: Flexible
Criteria: At least 21 yrs old
Important Note:
Due to the nature of some regular volunteering roles, candidates are required to complete a Suitability Assessment and Interview before commencing. This does not apply to one-off, centre-based, or ad-hoc volunteering activities.
Corporate Partners
Organisations are invited to embark on a meaningful journey of giving with KKCS. We welcome partnerships that create purposeful and enriching experiences for your staff, congregation, and students. We hope to co-create experiences tailored to your needs while contributing to our network of care for families.
Partnership initiatives may include, but are not limited to:
· Donating and distributing essential items such as milk powder, diapers and pillows to support families’ daily needs
· Sponsoring and befriending families through school holiday outings to strengthen family bonds and create meaningful shared experiences
· Hosting events for the community to foster connection, inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging
Voice of Our Corporate Volunteer
Since 2024, our partnership with KKCS has supported nearly 300 beneficiaries, strengthening community well-being and uplifting families with young children facing hardship through essential support.
