Governance and Stewardship: Sub-Committees of the Management Committee

In accordance with the KKCS Constitution, the Management Committee (MC) is empowered to delegate appropriate responsibilities to sub-committees to support the effective governance and stewardship of the organisation. These sub-committees are made up of volunteers who provide oversight, professional guidance, and strategic input to strengthen KKCS’ operations and impact. As at 25 September 2025, the MC is supported by the following sub-committees:

Audit and Governance Committee

The Audit and Governance Committee supports the MC in fulfilling its governance and oversight responsibilities. It provides independent guidance on the effectiveness of KKCS’ governance systems, including risk management, internal controls, and compliance practices. While it works closely with the MC and Honorary Treasurer, it maintains a clear advisory and assurance role to strengthen organisational accountability.

Human Resource Committee

The Human Resource Committee provides oversight and strategic guidance on KKCS’ human resource policies and practices. The Committee also provides direction on senior management recruitment and succession planning, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy. In addition, it advises the MC on key people-related matters and oversees processes relating to leadership development and HR-related governance.

Nomination Committee

The Nomination Committee supports the MC in ensuring strong and effective board composition. It reviews the structure and balance of the MC to ensure a suitable mix of skills experience, and perspectives. The Committee identifies and evaluates potential candidates for board membership and recommends individuals for election to the MC. It also provides guidance on board succession planning and may advise on the formation of sub-committees and nomination processes to support effective governance continuity.

Programme and Services Committee

The Programme and Services Committee oversees the development, delivery, and evaluation of KKCS’ programmes and services to ensure alignment with the organisation’s mission and strategic direction. It provides guidance on new programme development, monitors the effectiveness of existing services, and supports service innovation and improvement.
